| The
following is a list of critical things to note about producing
a shaped compact disc. Please make sure that all parties
involved in your project understand the following points:
1.
Please make sure that the template remains COMPLETELY
UNALTERED. Do not scale, stretch, move, crop or modify the
template in any way. Modification of the templates will
result in unusable discs. CCT is not responsible for results
if the text on the template is altered, the template is scaled,
or if the template is modified in any way.
2.
Do not use the .GIF files on this page as templates. Bitmap
files are unsuitable for use as artwork templates. Do not
save the templates as bitmap formats (.jpeg, .bmp, etc.) for distribution
to your customers. Do not use hard copies (prints, faxes,
etc.) for artwork production.
3.
All templates are sized to leave a silver border between the card
edge and the edge of the artwork. Different inks and processes
yield different results with silkscreen durability.
CCT is not responsible for silkscreen chipping due to intentional
flooding of the artwork past the cut line, or errors at silkscreen.
4.
Locator lines are critical to the production of a shaped CD.
The sets of lines on the templates must appear on the discs when
they arrive to CCT. Discs arriving without locator lines
are subject to an upcharge if they are usable. Some jobs
arriving without locator lines may not be able to be processed.
CCT assumes no responsiblity for rotation of artwork on discs
arriving without locator lines.
5.
Make sure the template capacity matches the data capacity requirements
of the content of the disc. If you produce a disc with 65
MB of information, and use a 58mm (40MB) template, your options
are to rerun the discs, or cut the discs oversize (leaving more
silver border). Make sure you include cross-platform data
in the total data count.
6.
CCT is always available to assist you with artwork problems
or concerns. We will review your artwork free of charge
to the best of our ability. Please contact us at 817.410.1222,
